NYC Street Photography

In April this year, I visited New York City for the very first time!

I've been hugely inspired by the work of many NYC street photographers, so I was excited to finally walk those streets for myself, take in the city and make some photographs.

When you think of street photography, the main location most people will think about is New York, purely because of the incredible work that has been made there and the large part NYC has played in the history of street photography.

You may be think about the work of Garry Winogrand, Joel Meyerowitz, Saul Leiter, Jill Freedman, Helen Levitt, Elliott Erwitt and Bruce Davidson. Also, in more recent years the work of Daniel Arnold and Andre D. Wagner.

Their work in New York has definitely been an inspiration to me, so I was eager to find a feeling on those famous city streets for myself and see what I could observe, what moments I could freeze, what little stories I could tell.

So here are some of the photographs I made whilst in NYC for 5 days. Hope you enjoy them.

Thanks for stopping by!
